After the most wonderful family vacation, we are home once again. And there is always something really sweet about coming home! I want to thank my wonderful friends, K&S, for letting us stay at their place in Kelowna. We couldn’t have gone on such a beautiful trip if it wasn’t for you! Thank you, thank you!!

Hubby was away this weekend for an annual quadding trip, guys only. So I puttered around the house, I canned 40 lbs of peaches, hung some pictures and did a bit of grouting. And of course started putting things away from our suitcases. Little Gray seemed happy to see his toys and he has been content playing at my feet while I am trying to get things done.

So it will be a short and quick diy today. I wanted to hang some pictures but I did not want to spend a whole bunch of money! I went to Micheals and bought some 12X12 canvases, some clear photo corners, and paint. I am going to use gray and yellow in our lower living room so I chose those two colors in acrylic paint. I also ordered 8X8 photos from Costco.

I don’t have photos showing the process, but it is easy peasy! I started by painting three of the canvases gray and the other three I painted yellow. Once dry, I added four of the clear photo corners, slipped my photo into the corners and hung the canvas. I will add two sticky tabs behind each picture in order to keep them from shifting.

So the canvases were $19 for seven, the three containers of paint were $6 and the photos were $12. So the total for the project was $37, making each canvas around $6. That is a great bargain, plus if I get tired of the pictures I can change them really quickly.

I would love to hear how you use your treasured photographs around your house. And I LOVE to read comments, feel free to say hello below! Happy monday to you all!
