Favorite Substitutions:

Butter “Earth Balance” soy free butter spread
Chocolate “Enjoy Life” chocolate chips
Soy Sauce Coconut Aminos
Cheese “Daiya” dairy free shreds
Milk Coconut, Rice, Almond and Oat Milks
Ice Cream “So Good” coconut milk ice cream

Favorite Recipes:

Diary Free Dill Dip

½ Cup mayonnaise

½ tsp dried dill weed

2 tbsp minced dill pickles

Pinch of garlic powder


Mix all ingredients and refrigerate


1lb ground beef

1lb ground pork

1/3 cup whole wheat flour

2 eggs

Minced garlic (4-5 cloves)

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp dried basil

2 tsp dried oregano

2 tsp salt

1 tsp sage

1 tsp red pepper flakes


Mix all ingredients together and form meatballs using 1/3 cup of meat.  Bake approximately 35 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  Add to sauce and simmer.

Breakfast Cookies

¾ cup banana puree

1 ¼ cup liquid honey

2 eggs

1 ½ cup almond butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 large apple (peeled, cored and cut into small cubes)

2 ½ cups whole wheat flour

½ cup ground flax seed

¼ cup chia seeds

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup chocolate chips (Enjoy Life brand)


Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Beat together banana, honey, eggs, almond butter and vanilla.  Stir in cubed apple.  In a separate bowl, add flour, flax, chia, baking soda, salt and chocolate, mix with a fork.  Fold dry ingredients into bowl of wet ingredients until combined.  Use a rounded tablespoon on batter for each cookie.  Bake approximately 12 minutes.  Makes about 4 dozen.
